New Mexico Water Data from the USGS

The map looks better on their site, but the USGS (US Geological Survey) site has some extremely comprehensive water information.  Charts and graphs show flow rates, temperatures and a lot more.

The data is even real-time, or very close to it.  The colored dots are measurement points on the various rivers and streams.  When you click on them, you get detailed data charts, as in this one for the Rio Grande below the Taos Junction bridge

It's rare that I'm pleased with how my tax dollars are spent, but this is an impressive site for anyone interested in water flow, temperature and historical statistical data.

Wonderful information, thanks so much!  I went to the site and see that it works for any state.  I know that fishermen, rafters and lots of other people in my state of Colorado will also find it useful.

Thanks Joanne,

I try to find things that are useful and of interest, and fun doesn't hurt either.
