Did You Know About Not Walking The Pueblo Road?
We're truly a vehicle oriented society, which is probably why I didn't know that you're not supposed to be walking on the main road that accesses the Taos Pueblo. I've never tried it. This article by a Pittsburgh columnist about his recent trip to Taos is a fun read, but brings up a sad fact about our society.
It's a shame when fear of lawsuits can mandate vehicular traffic when walking is preferred, more economical and environmentally a better idea. You can't blame the Pueblo, as they are probably more vulnerable to frivolous suits than the average citizen.
